WHO WE ARE
The Helsinki based group Und er libet was founded in 2006 by young artists coming from the fields of contemporary theatre, music, and new dance.
During the years 2007 to 2009 the group premiered a trilogy of performances entitled Bacchae, Bacchae 2 and Bacchae 3. After the Bacchae trilogy, the group has been creating performances based on the ballet classic Giselle. The first two parts were created in 2009 and 2010. The first part called Randomly seeking Giselle was premiered at the Reality Research Center in Helsinki, in October 2009.
In 2010 Und er libet premiered The Lightness and Death of Giselle at Zodiak – The Center for New Dance in Helsinki as part of the Moving in November festival.
